The "fact" appears on numerous Neo-Nazi websites that Stalin's third wife (or mistress) was
Rosa Kaganovich, the sister of Lazar Kaganovich. There appears to have been a rumor to
this effect, but Svetlana Alliluyeva, Stalin's daughter, writes that she knew of no such
person. According to a statement issued by members of the Kaganovich family, Lazar
Kaganovich had only one sister. She was named "Rachel" and she died in 1926, before
the rumored affair or marriage with Stalin is supposed to have occured.
